Dimapur, October 21: The 7th Chizami Cup would be played from December 9 to the 17th at Chizami in Phek district. The tournament is organised by Life Sports. The event is an initiative to encourage and develop club football in Nagaland.
The matches shall be conducted by NFA-certified referees. The tournament will uphold AIFF rules and regulations a press release that was issued to the media by the association stated on Thursday.
Entry forms may be collected from and submitted to the following contact points from November 1 onwards: Life Enterprises, Chizami; Life Enterprises, Upper A. G. Chizami Cup, an undertaking of Life Sports, envisages transforming the youth and community through football in the state with focus on the rural areas, since 2010.
The total prize money for the tournament is over Rs. 4 lakh. The imported continual trophy, made of pewter metal with gold linings, was donated by Mehuchümvü Foundation Chizami.
