Kohima, April 17 (EMN): Chetheba Town Baptist Church (CTBC) organised youth camp at Ruzazu, K Bawe Baptist Church (KBCC) Project in Phek district from April 13-16 on the theme ‘Jesus is the answer.’ Altogether 116 members attended the camp in which 17 youth were baptised by Rev. Vepocü Epao, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Pfutsero.During the three-day camp, the main speakers were Vepocü Epao, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Pfutsero, and Wepre Mero, pastor of Chakhesang Baptist Church Minister Hill, Kohima.
Mero, in one his speech, urged the youth to sacrifice first in order to reap the rewards adding that without sacrifice, God doesn’t manifest the blessing we wanted from Him.
Epao mentioned that God is the best designer and had created everything perfectly. Emphasising on the importance of prayer in one’s life, he said a lot of people have achieved what they dreamed through prayers. He, therefore, called upon the youth to make prayer a habit. On tithe, he said God doesn’t ask for money but to bless with what we have got.
The speakers dwelled on topics such as ‘Why am I here on earth? ‘Give God thy best,’ ‘Be rooted in Him,’ ‘Living a Godly life in an ungodly world,’ ‘Enjoy your life with God,’ ‘The joy of the Lord is my strength.’
Sunrise service was also held on Easter Sunday at the project premises. Vechutso Nyekha, youth director, Chetheba, during his sharing, urged the youth to wake up early in the morning saying people who wake up early are those who do their duty on time and successful in their life.
Some youth committed to abstain from sex until marriage, avoid pornography and to follow Jesus Christ at all times no matter how hard or easy life is.
During the three-day camp, bible study was conducted by Zapose Dawhuo, associate pastor of Chetheba.
