Chedema Kickers beat Legends to clinch title

Kohima, April 21 (EMN): Chedema Kickers clinched the 4th open penalty shoot-out tournament title organised by Prodigies Group at Seikhazou (D Khel Ground), Kohima village, on Saturday. The one-day tournament was held on the theme “Innovating a stronger fellowship.”
The Kickers emerged as the champions following their victory against Legends FC in the final 4-2, while Kohima Raiders and Zavi’s Club, Jotsoma, bagged the third and fourth positions respectively.
With the victory, Chedema Kickers walked home richer with INR 30,000, sponsored by K&K Motors (Mahindra), Kohima, while the runners-up Legends FC received a cash award of INR 20,000 being sponsored by KAT Emporium, Themezie. The 3rd and 4th place winners were given INR 10,000 and INR 5000 sponsored by Aja Communication (LG), Kohima, and Home Maker, Kohima, respectively.
The award for the best goalkeeper was given to Seyieneituo Tsiera of Chedema Kickers.
He received INR 5,000, sponsored by Kohima Computer Centre, Khedi Market, Kohima. A total of 48 teams from Kohima, Dimapur, and Tseminyu took part in the shoot-out competition. Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire, MLA and advisor of rural development had graced the inaugural function as chief guest, while Elizabeth Ngullie, administrator of Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) was the guest of the closing function.
