“The cowardice and barbaric murder (of) Charlie Hangsing has deeply hurt the sentiment of Indigenous Minority Tribes of Nagaland. We don’t expect such apathetic attitudes towards our people as we are peace loving citizens of Nagaland having no enmity with any other Natives and Communities,” the press release said.
The organization has demanded that the state government of Nagaland push the case. The organization has appealed to the state government to “expedite the case in apprehending the culprits involved in the heinous crime without delay, and also appeals all the right thinking and peace loving citizens of Nagaland to condemn such cowardice act on innocent people.”
“We convey our heartfelt condolences and pray the almighty God give peace and comfort to the bereaved family to overcome the agony,” the press release added.
