Chang students adopt resolutions

Dimapur, March 4 (EMN): The confederation of Chang Students’ Union has adopted the following resolution during its 53rd federal assembly.

The union assembly has reaffirmed its last resolution to completely ban hunting, fishing and trapping in the entire Chang jurisdiction for a period of ten months i.e. from the month of February to November. In this regard, respective village councils and students are empowered to monitor the implementation. Any individual/group failing to comply with the resolution will be subjected to the disciplinary action.

Closure of educational institution in view of tribal festivals is totally prohibited in the larger interest of the students’ community. Monetary collections in view of festivals and foundations days pertaining to any religious or social groups, associations or organisations will not be allowed within the Tuensang town jurisdiction.

Any promotional, entertainment, recreational, events and competitions in Tuensang town and within Chang jurisdiction should be held with the consent of the confederation.
