Dimapur, May 16 (EMN): Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) has encouraged self-employment through promotion of skills development among the youth and to strictly monitor infiltration of illegal immigrants within its jurisdiction in coordination with the district administration.
“Self- employment is to be encouraged to do away with unemployment, and must even take up skilled and unskilled jobs to be self-sufficient. Illegal immigration in the Chakhesang inhabited areas will be strictly monitored with the coordination of the district administration and other civic bodies,” CYE president Lhuvesayi Lohe and the general secretary Medovelo Sono have stated in a joint statement.
The resolution to this effect was taken during its coordination meeting held with all the respective village, town and area youth organisations on May 11 and 12 at Vamuzo Memorial Hall, Chozuba town, Tourist Lodge, Pfutsero town and Town Council Hall, Phek town respectively.
While highlighting the various activities, CYF president Lhuvesayi Lohe, has stressed on the need to save the society from the different issues.
CYF has also reaffirmed on the ban order of the Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) in all the Chakhesang inhabited areas of Phek district.
It has banned hunting, import of pigs and burning of jungles in order to protect eco system in the area.
It has further appealed to all the neighbouring villages to abide by the order.
