CEM distributes gearless scoter to 24 Asha workers

Diphu, June 23 (EMN): On the occasion of the 67th KAAC foundation day, 24 Asha workers for the year 2016-17 were given gearless scooters as part of their incentive from the KAAC. The programme was held at Joysing Doloi Auditorium on June 23 Saturday.

CEM Ronghang while giving away the gearless scooters to the Asha workers said it was a fulfilment of a promise made to those devoted Asha workers.

Ronghang said many Asha workers working in interior places have to travel on foot, but despite such hurdles, the workers devoted their duty with sincerity. He said the two wheeler was distributed in order to save time and make communication faster for them.

EM for medical Khansing Rongpi said that the 24 best Asha workers have been selected looking on their performances. If better facility can be given to ASHA workers, the health facilities provided by the government will be benefited a lot by the public, Rongpi said.

Deepa Ronghangpi, an Asha worker in Urban Block of Diphu Civil Hospital under Manja Block, who was among the 24 ASHA recipients thanked the KAAC authority for providing such facility to ASHA workers.
