Catholics undertake Rosary Procession

Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): Catholic community of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Viswema, has organised a candle light Rosary Procession on October 29. The procession was organised for the first time in association with the Bethany Sisters of Viswema.

Rev. Fr. Charles D Sauza, parish priest of Mary Help of Christian, Jakhama, delivered the introductory speech before starting the procession. He expressed his joy and happiness for organising such programmes in honour of the Mother of Lord Jesus. Speaking on the importance of praying the Rosary, he said the Catholic communities worship Mary as she is the “Mother of our Saviour.”

The procession began from R Khel Panchayat passing through the village till the church. Prominent church leaders including Krovil Benedict, Kronosa Cornelius, Rüküvito Peter, Rev. Sr. Harsha BS and Mrs. VizoleCornelli spoke on the occasion.

Around 150 followers participated in the procession despite the cold wind and the drizzling rain.
