Dimapur, May 20 (EMN): Nizams FC, Trinity Sporting, Teammate and Case FC qualified for the knockout stage of the Case Premier League after the end of the week 7 at the Chumoukedima police ground, according to an update from the organisers.

League Leaders Nizams FC were held to a goalless draw by Case FC. In the early minutes of the first half, Akum of Case FC was denied a goal after a brilliant save by the Nizams goalkeeper. The match had an intense first half as Case FC goalkeeper was shown the yellow card for handling the ball outside the penalty area

However Nizams failed to find the net from the resultant free-kick. Nizams striker also missed a sitter just before the half-time, which could otherwise have been a decisive point in the match.

Failing to convert their chances, the game went on to the second half with no goals from either side. With brilliant saves from both the goalkeepers and both teams putting up a strong front, the match ended in a goalless draw.

In the other match, G Sports defeated reigning champions Trinity 2-1. Despite the win, G Sports failed to qualify for the semi-final playoffs.

Teammate trashed Natak FC 8-2. Tsjukem and Lima Ao shared a hat-trick each. Super Strikers registered their first win defeating Stafac United 5-3. Kevichouto of Super Strikers scored all the five goals.

The semi-final playoffs will be on May 26.  Nizams FC will play Teammate while Trinity Sporting will face Case FC.
