CANSSEA urges to implement 7th ROP

Dimapur, March 5 (EMN): Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees’ Association (CANSSEA) urged the State government to implement 7th Revision of Pay (ROP) with effective from March 1, while it also appealed to the chief minister and his colleagues to convey the government decision on the implementation of the 7th ROP before the finalisation of the 2017-18 budget documents.

The office bearers of State Services Associations namely CANSSEA, NCSA, NSSA, FONSFSA, NPSA, NF&ASA and NASSA met the chief minister on March 4 and appreciated him for his patient hearing to the Associations’ office bearers on 7th ROP. After in-depth deliberation, the chief minister informed the Association that the effective date and year for implementing the 7th ROP would be decided in the next State cabinet meeting.

Meanwhile, president CANSSEA, on behalf of all State Services Associations, has congratulated Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu on his assumption as the chief minister.

It said the associations had submitted representation four times to the State government to implement the 7th ROP with effect from January 1, 2016. It said after in-depth discussion on February 27 at Hotel Japfu, the Associations decided to accept the 7th ROP with effect from March 1 as published in the local dailies considering the financial problems of the State government.

In this regard, its requested the State cabinet to approve the effective date of the 7th ROP with effect from March 1.
