Personnel of the 111th BSF recently came to the aid of a civilian vehicle that had met with an accident near Jessami bordering Phek district. The authorities said in a note on Friday that on November 24, a Bolero pickup met with an accident near CI Post Laniye Bridge of the 111 BN Border Security Force, approximately a distance of 1 kilometer from the camp.
“After getting information comma troops of G Coy, CI Post Laniye Bridge led by Sh T Nungsangba, AC, Coy Comdr rushed to the spot along with nursing assistant and necessary assistance/first aid was given to injured person during the rescue operation,” the note from the BSF said.
“Thereafter, immediately all injured persons were sent to Jessami Hospital Manipur by BSF vehicle. Civil authorities, passengers and villagers extended their appreciation on the efforts made by troops of 111 BN BSF,” the note added.
