Dimapur, August 16 (EMN): ‘Mission Feeds,’ a book on missions authored by Rev. I Lanu Jamir was released today at Nagaland Missions Movement (NMM), Dimapur. The book was released by NMM Director, Rev. Andrew Semp.
Rev. Andrew Semp, while congratulating the author, said Rev. I Lanu Jamir has created history for NMM by being the first person to release a book from within the movement. He remarked that the author has shown his zeal for missionary works with the release of ‘Mission Feeds’.
He said the author, who retired from NMM in 2015, was one of the most dedicated NMM missionaries who himself made a part of Oriya (Orissa) life during his 14 stay as a missionary.
Rev. I Lanu Jamir worked as a missionary at Keonjhar, Odisha (formerly known as Orissa) since 1987-2000 under NMM after which he joined NMM office Nagaland as Missions Promoter from 2001 till his superannuation retirement in the year 2015.
He is now presently working as a ‘Touring Missionary’ of Asangma Baptist Church Nagaland.
Rev. I Lanu Jamir, while speaking on his debut book release, said his interest came about after meeting a book seller who said there were no books on ‘missions’ released so far. He said it took 7 years to complete ‘Mission Feeds’.
The book release was sponsored by Asangma Dongdong Mission through NMM.
The 175 pages book covers various missions in spreading gospel and how one can get closer to God through various missions.
