Dimapur, Feb. 23: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha of Kohima has asked the department in concern as to why Aadhaar Cards cannot be obtained “even after the possession of approval slip.” The BJP unit issued a press release on Thursday seeking redress from the authorities.
“The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Kohima district, would like to appeal the concerned department as to why Aadhaar Card could not be obtained even after the possession of approval slip,” the unit stated. “It is found that the majority of the approval slips are rather invalid though the bio-metric data were extracted from the same machine. In case there are any errors it is to question why the concern department is not seen taking up any initiative to sort out the mass problem when it is already known that the Aadhaar card numbers are made mandatory for most of the official purposes.”
Also, the organisation stated that most of the people from villages in the state still do not hold Aadhaar Cards “due to the unavailability of office in the villages or the village head-quarters to apply for one and probably do not have the possibility to come up / down to Kohima main town to apply for it.”
A greater number of students and villagers are the ones facing a major problem because of said issue, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha stated in its press release.
“The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Kohima district, in view of the problems of the public requests the concerned department to look forward into this matter seriously,” it added.
