Diphu, June 23 (EMN): The general election of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) 2017 result was declared on Thursday in the 26 (Member of Autonomous Council) MAC’s constituencies of both West and East Karbi Anglong District. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has captured 24 seats out of 26.
During the regime of Autonomous State Demand Committee (ASDC) government, they secured 22 seats out of 26 MAC’s constituencies. Indian National Congress (INC) and Hills State Demand Council (HSDC) did not secure a single seat in the election, report added.
