Birensing Ingti to be the next MP candidate of Congress

Diphu, July 18 (EMN): A letter of gratitude by Karbi Anglong District Congress Committee will be sent to Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, president, Ripun Borah also an MP, for recommending the name of sitting MP and Karbi Anglong District Congress Committee (KADCC) President Birensing Engti to All India Congress Committee as the lone official candidate of the party for No.3 Autonomous District (ST) Parliamentary Constituency for the 2019 Parliamentary elections.
This was unanimously resolved during an emergent extended meeting of the Congress, held here at KADCC conference hall on Tuesday, July 17.
Party insiders informed that the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), president, Ripun Borah has recommended the name of MP Birensing Engti for the

Congress official candidate for 2019 general elections and for having this concern for the Congress of Karbi Anglong as MP Birensing Engti is seen still the efficient leader of Congress in Karbi Anglong and his name should be recommended again.

It is for this positive gesture that the Congress of Karbi Anglong would like to express gratitude to Borah. Along with the name of MP Birensing Engti the names of sitting MP from Koliabor, Garuv Gogoi and Silchar MP Sushmita Dev were recommended to All India Congress committee (AICC) by Bora.

It also resolved to hold meetings in all MAC constituencies in both Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong and formation of booth committee where it has not been formed.

The meeting today was presided over by MP and KADCC president, Birensing Engti and attended by office bearers of KADCC and Block levels.
