Bible colleges hold graduation programmes

Dimapur, April 18 (EMN): Pastor of Kohima Sumi Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Hokheto Chophi, exhorted the theology graduates to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ, be like Jesus and to fish for men and not money.
Dr. Hokheto Chophi stated this while speaking at the 15th graduation programme of Withee Bible College on April 17 held at Kim Jin Won chapel hall.
Altogether, 15 students were conferred Bachelor of Theology degree, while six students were conferred Master of Divinity degree, and three students received certificate in basic music.

The college also gave away awards to some deserving students. The academic resilience awards were given to Khumjila K of B.Th. and Pikatoli L Zhimo, of M. Div. The best discipline award was given to Rabemo Ovung, while the best preaching awards were given to Mughaka Sumi of B.Th and Pikatoli L Zhimo of M.Div., and the best chapel attendance awards were given to Rabemo Ovung, Khumjila L, Y Chaiying Konyak, Monglong Konyak, and Jepitoli Sumi.

Besides, the best devotion attendance awards were given to Rabemo Ovung, Khumjila L, Y Chaiying Konyak, and Jepitoli Sumi.

The commissioning prayer was offered by Rev. Dr. Vikheshe Chishi, founder and principal of the college. The service was led by Yekatoli Chishi, lecturer, and the benediction was pronounced by Rev. Dr. Hukashe Zhimomi, executive secretary of Nagaland Police Church Association, NBCC president and board chairman of Withee Bible College.

In a similar programme, Faith Theological College (FTC) in Ura Villa Colony, Circuit House Area, Dimapur, conducted its 10th graduation ceremony in the college campus with Kuzholuzo Nienu, MLA, as the special guest.

In his address, Nienu encouraged the newly graduates to be faithful and committed to God’s calling and not to be pulled away by the worldly pleasures. He also emphasised on the importance of Bible reading.

The guest speaker, Rev. Dr. Nokjung Tzudir, mobilise of Worldwide Evangelization for Christ (WEC), advised the newly graduates to be aware of the ministry calling and show an exemplary life. He also prayed for the graduates.

The programme was led by lecturer Abemo Lotha, while the welcome address was delivered by the founder principal, Rev. Dr. S Gangte.

Conferring of degrees and awards was done by the college principal and academic dean. The vote of thanks was delivered by the board chairman, Er. Dr. L Yezhekhu Sumi.
