Bhandari SDPDB discusses water, power services

Dimapur, Nov. 14 (EMN): The monthly departmental co-ordination meeting of Bhandari sub-division was held at the Lotha customary law court, Bhandari on Nov. 14 where house deliberated about status of water and electricity supply in the sub-division.
The chairman of the SDPDB (sub-divisional planning and development board) ADC Tiameren Chang appreciated and observed the public service departments like electrical and PHE departments should have consumer friendly and systematic management and billing system in their services for the benefit of both the public and the departments.

The chairman also shared a success story in regard to an initiative taken to bring about 100% computer literacy at the office of the administrative headquarter, Bhandari.

He said that 95% of the office staff are now computer literate, and further encouraged the house to create computer literacy environment at their respective offices. He also stated that in the interest of public service, starting from Jan. 15, 2019, attendance of all government servants will be strictly viewed and reminded the officers to cooperate.

The house also reviewed the agendas of the last meeting and after thorough deliberation decided to defer the construction of the approved traffic island in the town to early part of 2019. With regard to a proposal for construction of marketing shed at the Yimparasa junction on Wokha-Merapani road for the villagers, the house decided to approach the agri. and allied departments for their suggestive inputs.

The chairman, Tiameren Chang further thanked the officers for their cooperation all through the year and at the same time welcomed the new members posted in the sub-division.
