Dimapur, Nov. 13 (EMN): The deputy speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Zhaleo Rio wants the people of Model village in Dimapur to be role models not only in character and values but ‘education, sanitation’ too.
Updates from the Ghaspani-II Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party issued a press release on Tuesday informing about the event.
The government middle school of Model village at 5th Mile in Dimapur celebrated its golden jubilee on Nov. 13 in the premises of the school. Zhaleo Rio was addressing the event, where he was its ‘special guest.’
“Jubilee is a time to celebrate, to retrospect and to introspect, and to move forward for the best in life,” he told the gathering. Education is the main backbone of the society, he said in speaking about its importance in raising children to build a responsible and civilised society. He urged the villagers to be a ‘role model for everyone around them, be it in character and values, education, sanitation,’ etc.
“Going by the name of your village which is Model village, you should be one of the best modeller, an exemplary figure in every field,” the deputy speaker opined.
