Dimapur, August 20 (EMN): A two-day orientation programme for the 1st semester B. Ed teacher-trainees of Bosco College of Teacher Education (BCTE), Dimapur, was held on August 17 and 18.
The two-day programme was part of the new two years B. Ed course on Enhancing Professional Capacities (EPC). It encourages the teacher-trainees to understand the self through participatory activities.
The programme was organised to bring out the latent talents in the teacher- trainees and to develop the potentials for their personal enhancement as well as to put the skills and talents for the greater service and enrichment of the students and the society whom they are going to serve as future educators.
The whole new batch of teacher-trainees was divided into four teams of twenty-five members each namely Aroma, Phoenix, Froebel, and Agape where different competitions were held as group items and individual items.
The teacher-trainees took part in the various events with great enthusiasm and vigour. Some of the competitions included group song, group dance, creative item, solo, duet, extempore speech, skit and drama, painting and pencil sketch
