Diphu, August 19 (EMN): An official notification was issued by Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, joint secretary Dhaneswar Engti stated, “In pursuance of Executive committee resolution No. 12, Dated 7th July 2009, the office notification No. KAAC/TC/Baithalangso /2008/2016/ 899, dated 20th September, 2016 and in pursuance of the sub-section (4) of Section of the Karbi Anglong District (Administration of Town Committees) Act, 1954, the authority of KAAC, Diphu is pleased to declare the area specified below to be a ‘notified area’ for the purpose of constitution of Baithalangso Town Committee with immediate effect.”
Baithalangso in west Karbi district is going to become the 9th town of Karbi Anglong after the state government and Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) authority have issued a notification on Friday.
The newly Baithalangso town will extend its area and boundary as it mentioned in the notification which include East: North Hongkram/Hongkram, West: Amtereng Dikisir, North: Punja Borpathar, Doloni, Borpani Reserve Forest and in the South, areas like Rongkor and Vodilar will be included in town area.
