Badminton Championship from April 20

Kohima, March 25 (EMN): The Crescent Club, Kohima will be organising the All Nagaland Men’s Doubles Open and Veteran Badminton Championship 2017 from April 20 to 22 at the Indoor Badminton Stadium, Officers Hill. Established in 2014, the Crescent Club is a Badminton exclusive club to promote the sport of Badminton in Nagaland.

The tournament will be held on the theme ‘Step up the Challenge’ for four categories:
1. Open Category (40k –Champion; 20k -1st Runners up; 10k each for semifinalists)
2. 30 years + (20k- Champion; 10k- 1st Runners up)
3. 40 years + (20k- Champion; 10k- 1st Runners up)
4. 50 years + (20k- Champion; 10k- 1st Runners up)
The organisers have informed that entry fee for each team will be Rs.2000 per category and forms will be available at G.A.V Sports, opposite to Badminton Stadium, Officers’ Hill Kohima, Victor Showroom, Half Nagarjan Dimapur, Sports Lifestyle, opposite to Super Market, Dimapur, Nivea Showrrom, Nyamo Lotha Road, Dimapur, Mokokchung Sports Store, opposite to MMC Shopping Complex and Humri Bakers, Near Police Point, Wokha.
The Crescent Club stated in a release that the main objective in organising the tournament is to encourage the younger generation to take up sports to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
