Awareness activities mark ‘connecting to serve’ campaign

Dimapur, Nov. 20 (EMN): Along with the rest of the country, District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs) across the state conducted various activities to commemorate the ten-day campaign titled “Connecting to Serve” devised by the National Legal Services Authority from Nov. 9 to 18 .
The campaign was aimed for making public aware about the various functions and activities of Legal Services Authorities and availability of free legal services so that weaker and marginalized sections of society are made aware, approachable and service is delivered to them. During the campaign, Tuensang District Legal Service Authority conducted awareness by distributing local translated pamphlets, awareness camp at district jail, poster campaign, and motorbike rally in collaboration with the Frontier Royal Enfield EN Bloc.
Kohima District Legal Services Authority spread legal awareness through poster campaign, Door-to-Door and hoardings.
Phek District Legal Service Authority set up legal assistance desk, poster campaign, door to door campaign at Kutsapo village, and Pfutsero sub-division, hoardings, legal awareness programme at Chozuba, Phek town and in collaboration with NSACS at Phek town.
Zunheboto District Legal Services Authority organised visitation cum legal Awareness camp, painting competition, legal awareness at District Jail, visited Hezukhu Memorial District Hospital, opened legal assistance desk and distributed legal literacy pamphlets.
Longleng District Legal Services Authority conducted legal awareness campaign, Door to door campaign at Yachem village Longleng, Poster campaign and spot painting competition.
Wokha District Legal Services Authority conducted poster campaign, legal awareness with mentally disabled, legal awareness in collaboration with District Aids Prevention and Control Unit and walkathon.
Kiphire District Legal Services Authority held Awareness Campaign in the school at Pungro, Door to door campaigns at Tikenvong and Jenty Village under Pungro Sub-division Kiphire District, Azetso and Sangtsozi villages and put up hoardings.
Peren District Legal Services Authority put up hoardings, poster campaign and legal awareness campaign.
Mokokchung District Legal Services Authority conducted legal awareness at district jail, cycle rally and walkathon, mental health camp and legal awareness workshop with district stakeholders.
Dimapur District Legal Services Authority organized legal awareness program at St. John College, LokAdalat, visited central jail, put up hoardings and distributed legal literacy pamphlets.
Mon District Legal Services Authority conducted legal awareness at Leangha Village, Chingai ward, Nangtan village, LapaLempong village, Tanlao Ward and opened legal assistance desk.
