Assam Rifles nab two with arms

Dimapur, March 6 (EMN): Basing on specific input regarding presence of an arms dealer, troops of 32 Assam Rifles alongwith police representatives launched a search operation at general area in Khermahal, Dimapur, on March 4 and arrested one person with arms and ammunitions.
The arrested person was identified as Ibomcha Khan (50), son of late Satar Khan and resident of NST Colony house number No.1. Assam Rifles personnel seized one 7.65 mm pistol, two magazines and 28 live rounds of 7.65 mm from his possession.

The individual alongwith the recovered arms were handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur, for further investigation.
In a separate incident, troops of 32 and 41 Assam Rifles arrested one activist of Karbi People Liberation Tiger (KPLT) during search operation in Dimapur on March 4.
The accused has been identified as Mukhim Rongpi (28), son of Sansing Rongpi and resident of Dillai Bazaar, Karbi Anglong, Assam. He was reportedly a member of Karbi People Liberation Tiger (KPLT).
The combined team recovered one air gun pistol (country made) and air gun pen pistol (country made) from his possession. It said the individual alongwith the recovered arms were handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur, for further investigation.
