Dimapur, Dec. 6 (EMN): Basing on specific information, troops of 32 Assam Rifles arrested one person from Super Market area with illegal arms, ammunition, incriminating documents and large quantity of cash on December 5.
The accused has been identified as Abdul Hasim (41), son of Moinuddin and resident of Industrial village in Dimapur. He was stated to be a functionary of NSCN (IM) in the rank of Rajapeyu. The troops recovered one .32 mm pistol, two magazine, 12 live rounds, one arms license, one assignment order letter of NSCN (IM) dated April 24 signed by Ghokuto Chopy, secretary UT-I, NSCN (IM) and Indian currency amounting to cash of INR five lakh fifty nine thousand.
The apprehended individual alongwith the recovered items were handed over to East Police Station Dimapur for further investigation.
