Assam Rifles nab four persons

Dimapur, Nov. 11 (EMN): Troops of 3 (Naga Hills) Battalion Assam Rifles has arrested one extortionist from Dak Lane in Kohima on November 9.
The accused has been identified as Sunil Kumar Yadav (29), son of Lalbabu Ray and resident of Midland Colony, Kohima.
The troops recovered cash amounting INR 23,500, printed truck owners’ association vehicle tax receipts, three pads of mini bus, two pads of tourist bus, one pad of NP truck (small), five pads of pickup truck, three pads of zonal taxi (small), three pads of zonal taxi (medium), one pad of ration tax receipt, one pad of FGN tax receipt, five numbers of FGN liquor (IMFL), two numbers of NSCN (K ) cash receipt, three numbers of NSCN (R) cash receipt, six numbers of NSCN (IM) work permit, one number of FGN cash receipt, two numbers of NSCN (IM) cash receipt.
AR statement stated that the individual along with recovered items were handed over to North Police Station for further investigation.
In a separate incident, troops of 28 Assam Rifles, during an operation, arrested one person with arms in Doyang under Wokha district on November 9.
The accused has been identified as Rhanpenthung Enny (35) resident of Makrang village, Wokha district. The team recovered one .22 mm pistol (locally made with marking Made in USA), one magazine, five live rounds, 21 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon and Indian currency amounting Rs 7426 from his possession.
The accused along with the seized items have been handed over to Wokha Police station for further investigation.
In yet another incident, troops of 28 Assam Rifles arrested two persons with liquor from Bhandari in Wokha district on November 9.
The accused have been identified as Libenthung (29) resident of Shankitong village, and Paul Odayo (30) of Chunka village.
The troops recovered 360 bottles of Mc Dowell Rum, 720 cans of beer and 240 bottles of Vodka. The seizure was worth INR 1,95,000. Individuals alongwith recovered items were subsequently handed over to Bhandari Police Station.
