DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 12

Three Naga youth were rescued by the Assam Rifles from the NSCN (K) recently, claimed the IGAR(North) today.
According to the Assam Rifles, in August 2015, the banned “anti national” insurgent group of NSCN (K) forcibly lifted and kidnapped three youth from villages of Peren district for forced recruitment. These young innocent Naga tribal boys, some of them minor in age, were deceitfully lured on the pretext of providing civil employment in Dimapur by Seiminthang Kuki and Lamang Kipgen, “known terrorists” of NSCN (K), according to IGAR(North) based in Kohima.
The IGAR (North) in a press statement said they were deceitfully transported to NSCN (K) training camp across the border into Myanmar. “Before they could be plunged into ruined destiny of death and destruction by NSCN (K) leaders, all three of these boys were successfully rescued by 18 Assam Rifles (Identity and nativity of these boys being kept confidential for their safety) under the aegis of Headquarter 6 Sector AR,” it stated. The rescue was orchestrated through a series of cleverly crafted psychological maneuvers, real time sustained tracking and extensive communication for infomation sharing involving the parents, civil society groups and influential tribal leaders. The boys have safely reached back home and have expressed gratitude for the efforts of Assam Rifles, the statement added.
Meanwhile, 18 Assam Rifles has launched a massive manhunt for both Seiminthang Kuki and Lamang Kipgen of NSCN (K) who are suspected to be moving in the areas of Dimapur, Kohima, Zunheboto and Kiphire. Any individual providing credible information leading to their arrest will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 2 lakhs by Commandant 18 Assam Rifles, the statement of IGAR (N) said.
