Dimapur, Nov. 16 (EMN): The 12 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under the aegis of IGAR (South) in its crusade against illicit drugs has recovered 63 grams of Heroin, , 368 grams of Brown Sugar and 47915 numbers of WY tablets worth approximate Rs 4.18 crore in the international market.
A press release issued by the Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) mentions that on Nov. 15, the team based on specific information at around 8:30 in the morning one black coloured Alto which was travelling from Moreh to Imphal was stopped for checking at PVCP, Khudengthabi, Tengnoupal District.
The release mentions that on thorough checking of the vehicle, Akhup Lamkang was found in possession of the recovered drugs.
The Recovered items along-with the individual is said to have been handed over to Narcotics Control Bureau, Imphal.
