Dimapur, June 12 (EMN): The 9th Sector Assam Rifles and the Little Flower School of Sangaiprou in Imphal west district organised an honorary ceremony for Lt. S Vijaya Devi, who was said to have been completed her ‘Navika Sagar Parikrama,’ the voyage around the world.
During the programme, students were shown video clips about her 254 day long journey in which she circumnavigated the globe. Addressing students, Davi spoke about her phobia of water and how she overcame it in order to get selected for the expedition. Further, she claimed that her being in services had motivated girls to join the armed force.
