Dimapur, May 23 (EMN): Troops of 32 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (N) provided three computer sets to Nihokhu Village Students’ Union.
The aim of the project was to provide an opportunity to needy students to learn IT skills and enhance their employability. The Assam Rifles statement said that the computer sets will be beneficial to the students in contributing towards improving standards of education in the village.
The handing over ceremony was conducted on May 21 in the presence of GBs, teachers, students and locals from Nihokhu village.In an unrelated programme, troops of 40 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted an interaction with village GBs, village council members and headmen of the AOR at Changlangsho on May 15. A total of 36 people attended the event.
The interaction was focused on the development of the area and opportunities available for youth. A prayer was also organised by the pastor for good health and prosperity of the people in the area.
