Dimapur, Nov. 12 (EMN): 9th Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a friendly volleyball match with the local youths of Chizami on Nov. 11 to continue to carry forward the rich ethos and tradition of ‘Friends of the North East’.
The volleyball team fielded by the youths of Chizami town participated in the match along with the team of Assam Rifles. The aim of organising the volleyball match was to nurture the sporting talent and encourage them to participate in constructive activities. Also, a lecture on ‘Say No to Drugs and HIV/ AIDS’ was organised to raise awareness on the causes, symptoms and preventive measures on the subject. The event concluded with prize distribution and refreshments.
