Dimapur, April 28 (EMN): Based on specific input, 32 Assam Rifles under aegis of Headquarters IGAR (North) along with police representatives launched an operation at Purana Bazar, Dimapur on April 25.
According to PRO IGAR (North), during the search, troops of Assam Rifles held two cadres belonging to NSCN (R) faction, identified as Marvin Neibu Shuya, ‘self styled Leacy of NSCN(R)’ and Inaka Kiba, ‘self styled Rezapuyu, NSCN(R)’ both resident of Chumukedima under Dimapur district. Several incriminating documents related to NSCN (R) were recovered from the session. The apprehendees alongwith the recovered items were handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation.
In a separate operation, 5 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (North) apprehended one NSCN (K) cadre idendified as ‘Self Styled Lieutenant’ Kivito Kiba of NSCN (K) from North Point Colony, Zunheboto Town on April 24.According to PRO IGAR (North), the apprehended cadre was involved in collection of illegal taxes and extortion activities in Zunheboto town. One tax collection booklet and four duly signed tax collection slips were recovered from his possession.
The apprehended cadre along with recovered items was handed over to Zunheboto Police Station for further investigation.
