Dimapur, July 30 : A number of Ao Naga organizations have warned social media users against “comments or statements against the Ao community and its organizations.”
The Ao Senso Telongjem of Dimapur, Kohima Aor Telongjem, Ao Senso Telongjem of Chumukedima, and the Ao Union of Medziphema issued a press release on Saturday. The organizations warned of penalty in the backdrop of “derogatory and demeaning remarks against the Ao Senden and its endorsed organizations such as the NTC, CNTC.”
The press release stated: “Having come across some derogatory and demeaning remarks against the Ao Senden and its endorsed organizations such as the NTC, CNTC over its formation and functioning by some person in the social media (Facebook blogs),the Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD), Kohima Aor Telongjem (KAT), Ao Senso Telongjem Chumukedima (ASTC), Ao Union Medziphema (AUM) has sternly warned that a strong action will be initiated against any person indulging and making such comments or statements against the Ao community and its organizations.”
The community organizations cautioned further “any person not to mislead or create room for confusion without knowing the basis and the ground reality. In case of any doubts or misconception be there, they are informed to approach the respective organizations mentioned to clear the same and not resort to such callous remarks which will invite strong penalty.”
