Another comfortable win for MDCA against Changtongya

Dimapur, Dec. 6: As part of its promotional tour, the Mokokchung District Cricket Association (MDCA) on Tuesday played against the SDO (C) XI of Changtongya sub-division at Akhoya village ground.
Batting first after winning the toss, MDCA piled up a total of 173 runs in 19 overs for the lost of all wickets. Sachin Jaiswal was the highest scorer with 52 runs, while Throngdiba Sangtam and Merenchemba collected 26 and 15 runs respectively.
For the SDO XI, Temjenmeren ripped through the opposition’s tail to bag 6 wickets. But riding on their captain’s 52 runs, MDCA posed a target of 153 for the SDO XI.Despite a crucial 26 run-knock from Yangertoshi, the SDO XI could muster only 141 in their chase. They were all dismissed inside the allotted 20 overs. Yangertoshi was supported by Temjenmeren with 16 runs and Matsung who collected 14.
For MDCA, Sachin was in action again with the ball as he, along with Aloto collected 3 wickets each to rock the SDO XI chase. With a half century to his name, and a 3-wicket haul, Sachin Jaiswal of MDCA was shared the man-of-the-match award with Temjenmren of SDO(C) XI Changtongya who took 6 wickets.
