Mokokchung, March 23 (EMN): The Congress candidate for 26-Aonglenden assembly constituency by-election, Alem Jongshi asserted that his ‘philosophy of politics’ is secularism and social harmony. He declared his candidature at Ungma village in Mokochung district on Saturday.
He hoped to reach to the people “through this philosophy.” The candidate also said that during his door-to-door canvassing he was motivated even more to contest on Congress ticket.
Jongshi also said the BJP is a “fundamentalist and a communal party.” He also took a dig at the NDPP’s slogan. “The last slogan was ‘change is coming’ but now big notes are coming which is confusing the people.”
Jongshi also said, “BJP is not applicable for minorities in India who forms 28% of the total population.” He said that his priority is ‘upgrading healthcare in the district, education and youth with focus on skill development.’
