Mokokchung, June 14 (EMN): A&K Cricket Fraternity was launched by Mokokchung District Cricket Association (MDCA) President Er Chubatoshi at Arok Salang Kichutip Ward, Mokokchung on Friday, June 14.
MDCA president in his address said that in India more than 75 percent of the populations are crazy about cricket and it stands taller than anything else in the nation.
However, he lamented that unlike the rest of India, Nagaland is far behind than rest of the state in cricket and encouraged the young cricketers that as a popular sport in the country the road ahead will be challenged with tough competition but they must not lose hope and strive with determination their spot of glory in the national arena.
Chubatoshi also urged the A&K Cricket Fraternity that if they lay the perfect foundation than it would not only make cricket into a popular sport but also produce young cricket talents from the district.
He also declared that the MDCA is fully committed to improve the cricket activities and provide better cricketing platforms in the district.
A&K Cricket Fraternity also said that its main focus is to nurture and promote young cricketers especially the U-16 stage. It also announced that the Fraternity Cup will commence from June 14 onwards.
