AG office launches mobile app ‘nGPF24X7’

Dimapur, Dec. 7 (EMN): Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), Kohima, has launched a mobile app ‘nGPF24X7’ on December 6 with the additional chief secretary and finance commissioner, L Temjen Toy, as the chief guest and the principal account general (A&E), Telangana, S Snehalatha, as the special guest.

Launching the mobile app, Temjen Toy said with the introduction of the mobile app ‘nGPF 24×7’ the department can now move forward and also bring the state government closer to the department. With digitalisation, he said pension works can now be processed without any hassle. He also congratulated the AG department for the department achievement on the possibilities of issuing GPF statement in e-mode and taking the department forward.

S Snehalatha, in her speech, said the office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), Kohima, has move one step forward with the introduction of the mobile app ‘nGPF 24×7, an app that issue GPF statement in e-mode unlike other states. She also congratulated the department for its hard work and achievement.

E Mhonbemo Patton, principal accountant general (A&E), in his welcome address, said the department have been serving the people of the state for 44 years after branching from Shillong in Meghalaya in 1974-75. He said with the support from the state government and technical support from NIC Kerala and NIC Nagaland, the department has now changed from paper work to digitalisation.

Patton also highlighted on the mobile app ‘nGPF 24×7’ developed by NIC, Nagaland, for GPF accounts of state government employees and maintained by the office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E).

“The app is a miniature version of the Online GPF Information System which gives direct access to the GPF subscribers to their GPF Account details such as GPF status, annual statement and missing credits details directly on the mobile phone which dispenses the need to use various internet browsers. The app can be downloaded through any smartphone from Google playstore,” he added. Patton also mentioned that the Nagaland Online GPF was awarded at NE technology sabha conference held in Guwahati under the category of enterprise application.
