Adventure and outdoor activities of Sükrünye mini hornbill festival underway

Phek, Jan. 15 (EMN): As part of the Sükrünye mini hornbill festival, the adventure and outdoor activities began at Tizu river near Phek town on Tue. Jan. 15

Deputy director of the directorate of the Tourism, Nagaland, Veyielo Doulo acknowledged the Phek Town Youth Society (PATYS) for incorporating the outdoor activities. Doulo remarked that it’s a pleasure to celebrate Sükrünye, yet the perspective has be widened, he said. There are lots of tourism activities and one such is the adventure, he added.

Expressing happiness at the introduction of boating, bamboo rafting, ziplining, water zorbing, campings and bonfires in the festival, he encouraged the PTYS to carry forward such adventure activities in the coming days.

In bamboo rafting competition, Hebron -1 colony stood first position while Mission compound and New colony stood second and third position respectively.
