Dimapur, April 26 (EMN): The governor of Nagaland PB Acharya interacted with the deputy commissioner of Phek district, Muroho Chotso, and officers of Chozuba sub division administration and others at Chozuba on April 25 during his visit to Ruzaho village.
The governor called on the officers of the sub division to dedicate themselves to serving the people of the area. He said that the people look to them for their wellbeing and the administrators should not deprive the citizens of their rights. He said that officers were accountable and answerable to the public. ‘Be bold and work for the people’ the governor said according to a press release from the PRO to Governor on Wednesday.
The governor also reflected on the education sector. Acharya said that the subdivision education officer ‘should check that there are no proxy teachers under his jurisdiction.’ The governor observed that government school teachers were being paid more than private school teachers and are recruited through examinations.
However, the results in the government school are not satisfactory and this trend should change, PB Acharya said. Stating that education is the foundation of every developed society, the governor asked the department in concern to work towards achieving its goals.
Further, the governor talked about the need for good roads. Acharya asked the PWD to improve the roads connecting the sub division. He called roads the lifeline to development.
