Dimapur, June 19 (EMN): Governor PB Acharya has condemned the firing incident that took place at Aboi in Mon district on June 17.
A Raj Bhavan statement on Tuesday stated the governor as saying that such violence has no place in the society. He has appealed the NSCN (K) to shun violence and restore ceasefire with the government of India.
“Governor Acharya stated that the peace process was moving in the right direction and hoped that a settlement will be reached at the earliest. He called on the NSCN (K) to join the peaces process and work for an early solution in the interest of all Nagas. Governor Acharya said the people of the State were eagerly waiting for an early solution. The peace talks should not be disturbed in any way, he added,” the statement read.
