Nobody can have enough food, let alone follow enough Instagram food pages. Visually tantalising, Instagram’s @accidentalfoodie held its first “soiree” of a completely flavour filled variety of dishes for the ‘special thali’ that was available. What excellent timing to have something like this when everyone is in the mood for all the traditional festive eating. An avid traveller, Accidental Foodie as the name suggests is all about the admin (who wished not to be named) started to “accidently” love and appreciate the different food the admin would feast on while travelling. This turned into a passion for cooking. In collaboration with ibake, Dimapur, Accidental foodie dished up a plethora of meat which was served as part of the “thali” and BBQ and had visitors indulge in all the goodness home cooked food had to offer. Over a year old page on the popular networking site, Accidental Foodie has more than 11k followers which is quiet the impressive number considering that the admin just started it out for fun. “Sometimes I get asked for all the recipes of the pictures I post, which I want to say that the photos that you see are not my dishes but my pictures of food I take from all the “dhabas”, restaurants and hotels I have eaten at” said the owner of Accidental foodie. Well fret not, as now Accidental Foodie has taken it up a notch higher by cooking and serving its own version of “soul food”. “Experimenting with the event was not about generating a profit but just for the love of food and inspiration I get from my extensive travels” the admin mentioned. You can follow ‘Accidental Foodie’ on Instagram for future updates on events. EMN
