Mokokchung, Dec. 18 (EMN): After weeks of tirelessly practice, about 721 children from various fellowships enthralled the audience with their angelic voices during the town’s biggest carol competition popularly known as Children’s Christmas Cake Carol Competitions (C5) at Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo (MTBA) on Tuesday evening.
Bad weather on Tuesday failed to dampen the enthusiastic children and the public alike. Despite continues downpour, people from all walks of life thronged the mother church to witness the agile performance by little children aged between 4 to 12 years from nine fellowships competing for the ultimate championship title.
This year’s 30th edition of C5 ultimate championship title went to A&B Fellowship which consisted of 72 children. Medical fellowship and Salangtem fellowship won the first and second runner-up prizes respectively.
This year’s C5 champion will perform during MTBA devotional service on December 23, while the runner-up teams would perform during annual Mokokchung Christmas Cake Race on December 24.
Children of United Christian Fellowship and members of Youth with a mission (YWAM) from Maharashtra, who are on a mission trip to Mokokchung, also performed at the event.
