Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): A seminar about what the organisers called the “art of preparing for engineering and medical exams” was conducted through the initiative of a resource group called the Impact Hub Society, on Sep. 23.
A press release from the group on Monday informed that Praveen Kumar, director of Vidya Mandir Classes, from Delhi was the resource person for the event. Around 300 students, parents and well -wishers from various institutions in and around Dimapur attended the seminar, the organisers informed in the press release.
The director of Impact Hub Society Imlinungla Molier addressed the students. She said that Impact Hub Society had been working over the years to bring about substantial and qualitative change in the field of education, the press release stated. Further, she said that ‘our students are bright but they lack proper guidance and foundational concept of any competitive exam, which is why we do not see many of our young aspirants clearing engineering as well as medical entrance exam .Therefore, It is very important for our young aspirants to understand the nature and dynamics of such exam.’
Further, the speaker was quoted as having said that ‘by attending a seminar as this, it will not only help young aspirants to clear the doubt but will also instil in them a sense of competitiveness and competence.’ It will also help parents to have a clearer picture and understanding about the scope and prospect of pursuing medical and engineering courses for their children.
In his discourse, Praveen Kumar said competition should be an art of life. He said forcing the students to study is not the solution but motivating them was the answer. He spoke of several ‘mantra’ to become successful in life. Firstly, as a student, he said one should have focus in whatever they do. Secondly, he asked the students to have a sense of responsibility and integrity.
‘As parents wouldn’t leave their children no matter what the situation is, similarly students should treat their career as their babies,’ he said.
Thirdly, students should involve in their studies, he said. Involvement will help the students to prepare better for their next step. Fourthly, students should not only ask question but should also take ownership in trying to solve their query and doubt. He also said that interests is a by product of hardworking. He exhorted the students to never give up no matter the odds and challenges along the way.
Also, Kumar officially announced the opening of the Vidya Mandir classes in Dimapur which are now in full swing, according to the press release.
‘He said students of Nagaland can now attain the same class going on in Delhi via satellite without any interruption. Students in Nagaland can now be trained and tutored by the best national faculty team from Delhi and also have access to same advance national study material, attempt the same class test, mock test and avail the same feedback and coaching to help improve their learning curve,’ the press release explained.
According to the press release, he said that ‘For Nagaland students to compete and be at par on a national level the best available option for now is through technology which is V-Sat class.’
‘It is the only alternative and a gateway to compete on a national level. He also announced giving scholarship class to deserving candidate and ask the students to enrol in a batch at a very reasonable and affordable price,’ the press release from Impact Hub Society added.
