“Poong – Ai – Khaai – Tumm” (Story of a man selling a basket) was successfully highly-praised and accepted by the people of Namsai (Arunachal Pradesh) as they experienced the first ever theatrical performance.
A press release mentions that the play is a product of 30 days production oriented theatre workshop sponsored by NEZCC in collaboration with Department of Art & Culture, District Administration, Namsai district in Arunachal Pradesh.
Resource person Bendang Walling from Nagaland directed the play while the production is said to have been designed by Limanungdang Ao and written by Chow Therinja Mantow.
Further the release mentions that the play has been selected in the upcoming 12th Bhabendra Nath Saikia Memorial Pathar National Theatre Festival (2017) to be held on Dec. 23 at Duliajan, Assam.
