Director General of Police, LL Doungel, who graced the occasion as chief guest, said the police service is not an easy, smooth or pleasant job as one might face many challenges and added that it is one of the most indispensable services. The DGP further noted that the service comes with a high sense of responsibility where parameters keep changing but a particular standard is required.

While congratulating the new recruits, Doungel cited an example of how any other department could shut down. He, however, stated chaos would prevail if the police department is to close down. In this regards, he encouraged the newly enlisted recruits to make it a mission to work with sincerity and dedication keeping in mind that “service to humanity is service to God.”
