Kohima police have confiscated 250 kilograms of ganja from a truck in Kohima. The police authorities issued a press release on Thursday informing about the arrest.
Police said that on November 25, Kohima police manning Phesama check gate in Kohima found 250 kilograms of ganja from a truck. The truck bore the registration number AS-01P-9997
Two people have been arrested in this connection. They have identified as one Hasun Rashit, a 21 year old man from Hojai village in Assam; one Avtar Ali, also a 21-year old, from Durgaon village in Assam. They have been arrested “for possession and transportation of the contraband,” the press release stated.
“In this connection a regular case vide Kohima South P.S case No. 0123/15 U/S 20 (b)(ii) (c) NDPS Act is registered against them for conducting further investigation.”
