11th Atou Memorial Open Snooker Championship commences

KOHIMA, AUGUST 4

The 11th Atou Memorial Open Snooker Championship commenced today at Atou Pool House, near Old NST, Kohima.
A total of 28 players, including three former champions, are participating in the knock-out tournament which will conclude tomorrow late in the evening.
The winner of the tournament will be awarded Rs. 25,000, while the runner-up will receive Rs. 15,000. The two losing semifinalists will also be given Rs. 5,000 each, while the player with the highest break point of the tournament will also receive Rs. 5,000.Earlier, the tournament cue off was formally done by Neiphrezo Keditsu, chairman, Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation (NSMDC). The invocation was pronounced by Kekhriengulie Khro, while a special number was presented by Bokoto Kiho, winner of 1stNaga’s Got Talent. The programme was chaired by Medo Abel, president, Atou Pool House, Kohima.
